“Thank you for writing your book. I took it to lunch but it followed me back. I especially meant to save for later the final chapter on Mom – since I am still two years numb from the loss of my own vibrant mom to cancer – but I couldn’t put the book down. I love your affirmation of life in all its ups and downs, your humor, and, of course, your affection for words and their many meanings. You have used them very well, indeed.”
~ Meg, writer and editor, university magazine
“I just finished reading your beautifully written book.  You have expressed deep experiences and emotions succinctly and without being maudlin...Thank you for writing it and sharing yourself with us.”
~ Charlotte, attorney and community leader

~ Linda, chamber of commerce president
“My wife read Good to be Here from cover to cover last night before going to bed and with many interruptions to read passages to me that she especially liked. To say she was delighted would be a gross understatement!”
            ~ Lon, retired executive
“Happy 60th Birthday! “Here’s a present to yourself. Damn book keeps selling & selling!”
            ~ Susan, bookstore owner

            ~ Kathy, jewelry store associate
“I gobbled every word of your beautifully crafted, carefully considered, exquisitely written book...Thank you for writing it. I wonder – shouldn’t all young women receive a copy? – so they know that when they face troubling times they can come through with a rainbow of colors, as surely as you have?”
            ~ Lucy, speechwriter
“I didn’t turn off my light last night until I finished your remarkable friend’s book – merci – merci!”
~ Rosemary, received Good To Be Here as a gift

“Last year, my husband and I separated after 31 years of marriage and three children….and [a neighbor] just happened to put your book in my mailbox, thinking I’d enjoy it. I took yesterday off as it was my 52nd birthday - a milestone for me, as my Mom never made it much past hers - she died of cancer 3 days after, when I was 16...I celebrated very mindfully this time around.  One of the things I did was write something about her and send that and a photo of my Mom to my closest friends...asking them to write something about their own Mom...I also spent some time on my porch reading the essays from your book about your Mom.  I had saved them for that purpose...So you and your Mom were a part of my day yesterday and it was a great day and I just wanted you to know that.
~Robin, director of training, governmental agency
